Satinizing

The satin finishing on metals, also called scratching, is a technique used to make more or less opaque, by scratching, surfaces of metals.

The satin finishing is the most popular variations on classic polishing finishes or chrome plating for many reasons; first it is possible to cover any marks or defects left by previous processes, and also it provides special refined aesthetic value on details that clarifies why it is the most requested kind of finish for products of design.
